Day 1: WELCOME TO VIETNAM
Day 2: HANOI CULTURAL CITY TOUR
Enjoy the morning at leisure.
At 13:30, embark on a journey to explore the Temple of Literature, a historical and cultural complex dedicated to Confucius. Immerse yourself in the rich history and architecture of this significant site, which holds the distinction of being Vietnam’s first national university. Next, hop on a traditional rickshaw for a charming ride through the bustling streets and narrow lanes of Hanoi’s Old Town. Pause at a roadside coffee shop, where you can mingle with the locals and savor the sights of daily life unfolding around you. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Day 3: TRAVEL TO HA LONG
We will drive for a scenic 2.5-hour journey from Hanoi to Tuan Chau jetty, the embarkation point for your Halong overnight trip. Halong, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is renowned for its captivating limestone islands, caves, and picturesque landscapes.
Upon arrival at the jetty, board our boat and savor a welcome drink, and receive cruise briefing along with safety instruction. Enjoy lunch while cruising through the bay, passing its most beautiful and serene areas. Explore Surprising Cave, one of the most spectacular and largest grottoes in Halong Bay. Day 4: HA LONG - HANOI - HOI AN
We begin our day at 6:00 with a continental breakfast followed by a 30-minute Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck. Explore Titov Island for a refreshing swim or ascend to the summit for a breathtaking panoramic view of Halong Bay. Return to the boat with 30 minutes to freshen up and pack; please bring your belongings from the cabins and leave heavy luggage outside for direct transfer to the pier. Enjoy brunch in the restaurant as the cruise gracefully approaches the pier. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau jetty, transfer to Hanoi Noi Bai airport for the flight to Da Nang. Meet a local guide and travel by road for a-40-minute trip to your hotel.

Day 5: HOI AN
We embark on a half-day private cooking class. Your first stop is at the local market in order to select the freshest ingredients for your menu. At the market learn about tropical fruits and vegetables, herbs, and spices, as well as some of the more unusual items that you will see for sale. The scenery around Hoi An is quintessentially Vietnamese and, passing lush rice paddy fields, proceed to the village of Cam Thanh, a traditional fishing village surrounded by tranquil coconut palm-flanked waterways. Exploring the canals by coracle, traveling through coconut palm forests and observing the lifestyle of the fisherman and learning how they fish with rods and nets, using centuries-old methods. Continue to the cookery studio where an expert chef will guide you through the techniques
required to produce a range of mouth-watering traditional dishes. You will learn how to make a variety of dishes which made Vietnamese cuisine become famous. Once finished you can savour the delights of the dishes you have prepared, before returning to town. After lunch we embark on a guided heritage walk with your guide, exploring Hoi An's charming streets, including iconic sites like the Japanese Covered Bridge and Quang Dong Communal Hall. Gain insights into restoration efforts and wander through historic streets reflecting Chinese, Japanese, and French influences, discovering Kazik Square's tribute to a Polish archaeologist. Explore a 150-year-old merchant house, witnessing pre and post-restoration scenes. Delve into local life, addressing challenges like annual flooding. Visit a museum in the largest ancient house for a glimpse into preservation at the 300-year-old merchant mansion. (Breakfast and Lunch provided) |
Day 6: HOI AN - DA NANG - HO CHI MINH CITY

After breakfast, embark on a captivating full-day journey, exploring the historic Underground City at Cu Chi, synonymous with the Vietnam War. After a 2-hour drive from Saigon, witness the testament to the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese as you delve into the intricate network of tunnels, initially constructed during the conflict with the French in the 1940s and later expanded into a subterranean city during the Vietnam War.
Return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant. Begin the city tour by visiting the former Presidential Palace, symbolizing the end of the Vietnam War. Stroll along Book Street, passing the Notre Dame Cathedral. Stop at the colonial-era Post Office, marveling at its architecture. Conclude the day with a return to the hotel or, time permitting, choose to be dropped off at Ben Thanh market for personal exploration and souvenir hunting.
