Day 1: WELCOME TO HANOI, VIETNAM
Welcome to Vietnam!
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the Noi Ban International airport in Hanoi and whisked away to your hotel (check-in begins after 2:00 PM). Later, we’ll meet up to dive into the itinerary and get you pumped for the incredible journey ahead. In the evening, join us for a vibrant Welcome Dinner to kick off this unforgettable experience in style! (Dinner provided) (Early check in available with surcharge.) |
Day 2: SETTLE IN HANOI: A DAY TO EXPLORE AND UNWIND
We can start your day with a peaceful stroll through Tao Đàn Park, a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, a lush oasis perfect for relaxing and people-watching. Then, head to Ben Thanh Market to shop for souvenirs, local crafts, and street food. For lunch, we can indulge in Vietnamese dishes at a nearby restaurants.
In the afternoon, explore the vibrant streets and hidden alleys around Dong Khoi or take a leisurely cyclo ride to experience the city’s charm. Wrap up the day with a sunset cocktail at a rooftop bar, enjoying views of Saigon’s bustling skyline. (Breakfast provided) |
Day 3: HANOI CULTURAL CITY TOUR
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before diving into the cultural wonders of Hanoi. Our morning begins with a visit to Tran Quoc Pagoda, an iconic site on Westlake and one of the oldest pagodas in Hanoi. Next, we’ll explore Quan Thanh Temple, a serene spot with a charming landscape that showcases the city’s ancient beauty. We’ll then visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, built in 1070 to honor Confucius and the nation’s scholars.
After lunch, immerse yourself in Vietnam’s rich cultural diversity at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays), which highlights the 54 ethnic groups of the country. Then, hop on a traditional ’cyclo’ for a relaxing ride around Hanoi’s Old Quarter, ending with a stop at Ngoc Son Temple on the picturesque Hoan Kiem Lake. Wrap up this memorable day with a mesmerizing Water Puppetry show, a unique Northern Vietnamese art form that will leave you in awe. (Breakfast provided) |
Day 4: TRAVEL TO HA LONG (OVERNIGHT)
After breakfast, we will check out from our hotel at 7:30am for a 2.5 hour scenic drive from Hanoi to Tuan Chau jetty, the embarkation point for your Halong overnight trip. Halong, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is renowned for its captivating limestone islands, caves, and picturesque landscapes.
Upon arrival at the jetty, board our boat and savor a welcome drink, and receive cruise briefing along with safety instruction. Enjoy lunch while cruising through the bay, passing its most beautiful and serene areas such as Dog Head and Swan Islands befoe reaching the Luon Cave area Later visit the Titop Island for around one hour for swimming and sun-bathing. Day 5: HA LONG - HANOI - HOI AN
Enjoy breakfast aboard the cruise while soaking in the morning views of the stunning landscape with a warm cup of coffee or tea. Your journey then takes you to the awe-inspiring Surprising Cave in Ha Long Bay, a truly remarkable natural wonder. As you cruise back to the marina, savor lunch while capturing breathtaking photos of the iconic islets of Ha Long Bay.
After checking out of your cabin, the boat heads back to Tuan Chau pier, arriving at 11:00 AM. From there, you’ll travel back to Hanoi, reaching the city around 4:00 PM. Following your arrival, you'll transfer to Noi Bai airport for a flight to Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam's bustling business hub. Upon arrival, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel in the city center to check in. (Breakfast and Lunch & Domestic Flight provided) |
Day 6: SAIGON - CU CHI TUNNELS
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 AM, you'll be picked up for a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments from the intense Vietnam War. Beneath the surface lies an expansive 200 km network of tunnels, hand-dug and once inhabited by Vietnamese guerilla forces. At its peak, before the Tet Offensive in 1968, nearly 10,000 troops lived in these tunnels, making it a powerful testament to the war’s brutality. After exploring this remarkable site, you'll return to Saigon.
In the afternoon, visit the Reunification Palace, a significant symbol of the Vietnam War that ended in 1975. The grand building now serves as a museum and a venue for official events. Nearby, you'll find the colonial-style Central Post Office, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Take a walk along Dong Khoi Street for photo opportunities of the stunning Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Building (from the outside). Your final stop will be Ben Thanh Market, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant daily life of the locals. (Breakfast provided) |
Day 7: SAIGON - MEKONG DELTA
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 AM, you'll be picked up for a tour to My Tho, known as the homeland of coconuts, where local family factories produce delights such as coconut candy and rice paper.
Upon arrival, embark on a boat cruise along the mighty Mekong River, taking in the views of local life along the riverbanks. You’ll visit one of the four nearby islands, where you can explore the area, enjoy fresh tropical fruits in a lush garden, and listen to traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. Next, board small boats rowed by locals to navigate the narrow canals lined with water coconut trees. Along the way, you’ll visit local factories, taste honey tea, and witness the production of coconut candy milk. You’re welcome to try some and stroll through the garden, where locals tend to honeybees. The experience continues with a relaxing horse-cart ride through the quiet village streets, before boarding a larger boat for a scenic exploration of the expansive area. In the afternoon, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a local architectural gem blending Chinese, Cambodian, and French influences, before returning to your hotel. (Breakfast Provided) |
Day 8: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE
After breakfast, embark on a captivating full-day journey, exploring the historic Underground City at Cu Chi, synonymous with the Vietnam War. After a 2-hour drive from Saigon, witness the testament to the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese as you delve into the intricate network of tunnels, initially constructed during the conflict with the French in the 1940s and later expanded into a subterranean city during the Vietnam War.
Return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant. Begin the city tour by visiting the former Presidential Palace, symbolizing the end of the Vietnam War. Stroll along Book Street, passing the Notre Dame Cathedral. Stop at the colonial-era Post Office, marveling at its architecture. Conclude the day with a return to the hotel or, time permitting, choose to be dropped off at Ben Thanh market for personal exploration and souvenir hunting.
